Cantonese Opera Experience

Through videos and personal experiences, children learn about the performance skills of Cantonese opera – singing, acting, chanting and playing. It’s so interesting!

Musical instrument experience

Children play drums, erhu, pipa and flute together to create beautiful music!

Traditional handicraft production

The children made blue prints, knots and carvings together. The works were so beautiful!

Performance experience

The children played rattles, performed fan dances and performed face-changing performances together. The performances were really exciting!

Outdoor visit

The children visited the Hong Kong Museum of Art together and admired the beautiful traditional Chinese artworks.

Guests share

Through volunteers’ sharing, children learned about Cantonese opera. Cantonese opera is really unique!

Achievements sharing meeting

In the achievement sharing meeting, through guest sharing, children’s introduction, performances and works, children were allowed to share their learning results in thematic studies. Everyone had a deeper understanding of China’s traditional handicrafts and performances!

Children visited the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, appreciating traditional Chinese artworks, traditional toys and Cantonese opera culture.

In the achievement sharing meeting, children were introducing traditional toys and clothing, children shared their learning outcome in this project. Everyone had a deeper understanding of China’s traditional toys and clothing!

Chinese cultural activities-N2 children drink and taste Chinese food

Through thematic study of Chinese food culture, children are trained to actively explore and understand the culture of Chinese food. Children can learn from the food in daily life that Chinese food culture is closely related to us, such as: the rice, noodles, etc. we eat every day, and deepen Children’s understanding and interest in Chinese food culture

Data collection

Through data collection, children share a variety of Chinese delicacies with their peers, allowing children to have an initial understanding of Chinese food culture.

It’s so fun for teachers and children to explore the textures, shapes and colors of different “rice” together!

The teacher introduced the method of making “rice cake” to the children, and worked with the children to make delicious rice cakes!
