Mid-Autumn Festival Celebrating Activities

To enrich and consolidate children’s understandings for Mid-Autumn Festival, children read stories, tasted festive food, appreciated lanterns and engaged in parent-child lantern riddle guessing and other activities, allowing parents and children to feel the festive atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Stories Telling

Through picture books, teachers shared stories about Mid-Autumn Festival with children, letting children know about the origins of Mid-Autumn Festival.

Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival

Teacher and children played with lanterns and took photos in the tent of the big muscle room. It was so fun!

Making Moon Cakes

Parent volunteers introduced the method of making snow skin mooncakes to children, working together for making delicious snow skin mooncakes!

Making Lanterns

Parent volunteers made different styles of lanterns with children, such as cute animal lanterns, moon rabbit lanterns, carp lanterns and etc. Children are highly involved in this activity.

Tasting Festive Food

Children tasted the Mid-Autumn Festival food, such as moon cakes, pears, carambolas, grapes, etc. They all ate them with gusto!

Parent-child Guessing Lantern Riddles

Children and their parents guessed lantern riddles together in the big muscle room. Children and parents could discuss and guess the answers together. The atmosphere was very hilarious! Finally, children and their parents took photos in the lobby and big muscle room and felt the lively and warm festive atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
