On May 24, 2025, our school held the Chinese Culture Parent-Child Art Day.At School, various grade levels showcased the children’s learning journeys and art creations. The children enthusiastically introduced their learning processes and achievements to their parents.
In addition, the school designed a rich environment with diverse activities such as experiments, games, printmaking, clay modeling, and musical instruments. Through these multi-sensory experiences, the children deepened their understanding of the Five Elements — metal, wood, water, fire, and earth.
According to the event survey, 100% of parents agreed that the activity helped them understand their children's learning in Chinese cultural arts, and enhanced both their own and their children’s knowledge and interest in Chinese culture. Parents also appreciated the event’s theme, “Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth,” which allowed them to learn about the evolution of Chinese characters and the long history of Chinese culture.
Furthermore, 100% of parents agreed that the activities were diverse, engaging, and well-suited to the children’s abilities. They also appreciated that the event provided hands-on opportunities for children, helping to foster their sense of national identity.
Through a variety of activities such as field trips, storytelling, role-playing, famous painting appreciation, and games, the children express their understanding of the concept of the “Five Elements” (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water) through art. The following showcases the children’s learning journey and creative outcomes.
