Brief Discriptions

Our school invited “Our Music World” to perform the story‑music concert “Tales in Tune – Chang’e Flies to the Moon”. The performers brought the erhu, electronic keyboard, and clarinet to present a special programme for the children.

At the start, the host asked each musician to introduce their instrument and demonstrate its unique sound. The performance then combined storytelling with music to portray the traditional Mid‑Autumn folk tale “Chang’e Flies to the Moon”. Throughout the show, the Chinese musical instruments were used to create background music and sound effects, keeping the children fully engaged.

During the performance, the host interacted with the children through activities such as singing parts of the lyrics together, clapping along, and taking part in Q&A sessions. The program concluded with the famous traditional piece “Moonlit Night on the Spring

River”(春江花月夜). As the music played, the children waved their finger lights, joyfully immersing themselves in the atmosphere of Chinese music.

After the concert, the children had the chance to get close to the erhu, electronic keyboard, and clarinet, taking turns to try out the erhu and keyboard. Under the guidance of the performers, they were able to observe and experience playing the instruments firsthand, deepening their understanding and sparking their interest in music.
