Brief Discriptions

In the project study of ‘China-Pottery’, children learned that clay can be used as a material to make ceramics. After participating in various exploratory activities, they developed an interest in ceramics. Therefore, this visit to the Hong Kong Palace Museum provided an opportunity for children to deepen their understanding of ancient Chinese ceramic culture through observation.

During the visit, the children were highly engaged and focused. The museum featured various interactive zones, including a ceramic-making video area and multi-art experience zones. The learning content was diverse and covered multiple aspects, allowing the children to gain a lot from the experience and making it hard for them to leave.

In addition to learning about ceramics from different dynasties, the children also gained a deeper understanding of ceramic patterns, such as floral designs and animal motifs, and saw some precious artworks. Both teachers and children benefited greatly from this activity.
